Inspiring a ‘Campaign for Real Floristry’ web movement
The word of commercial floristry is not quite as romantic as one may have hoped. In fact, it transpires that there are plenty of companies selling flowers out there that never even handle the flowers themselves, and instead rely on machinery automatically boxing them.
Teleflorist are different, and hand–select their flower arrangements for an altogether more personal service. To highlight this fact, we created a viral campaign dubbed ‘no boxes’. The ad was shot using an ultra–slow Phantom camera, the only one in the country, which gave the film an ethereal feel reminiscent of the famous rose petals scene in Sam Mendes’ American Beauty.
The viral was part of a larger campaign for real floristry, encouraging a movement amongst the florist community against mass produced, manufactured flowers. It will also soon be featured on a Channel Five documentary about sexy ad campaigns.
