Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles ‘Misrepresentation’ ad

How best to shout about the fact that Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles actually underestimated the miles per gallon figure of the multi-award winning Transporter?
We devised a campaign under a spoof ‘misrepresentation’ or product recall concept, which stated that, contrary to the figure of 46.3mpg printed in the Transporter brochure, recent Marathon MPG figures showed that in real world conditions, the figure was actually 52.8mpg. That made it the only commercial vehicle in its class to achieve over 50mpg.
Targeted press and online ads drummed the message in, and the ad was nominated for an ANNA (Awards for National Newspaper Advertising), hand selected by a respected panel of judges.
